The club have been active in the transfer market and have signed two new players ready for the final run in.
First to arrive in January was versatile CH/DM Joe Bannan from Erith & Belvedere. The 27-year-old played for nearly an hour against Sheppey Utd on debut last Sat and has since featured in BOTH the starting line-ups and as a substitute playing either in the centre of defence or as a holding midfielder. Full of encouraging words for those around him and with plenty of fire in his belly, Joe has added a physical presence, a calm head and plenty of nice touches. He is also purported to possess one of the longest throw-ins in the SCEFL. We wish him well for the rest of the season and belatedly say…
Welcome to the club Joe!
In February talented forward Dom Ogun signed from neighbours AFC Croydon Athletic. Acquired to bolster the attacking options for the crucial last two and a half months of the season, the big striker likes to play off the shoulder and it is hoped will add the ability to be a skilful presence ‘up top’ who can hold the ball and bringing others into play. He made his debut as a second-half substitute in the Kent Senior Trophy semi-final against Corinthian and opened his account with Becks goal in the league game at Sheppey United.
Welcome to the club Dom!
